How we work: from Z to A

ZTOA starts from the result you want and works back to the basics: diagnose, research, focus, create and measure. Here is what happens at each step.

ZTOA means "Z to A". Instead of starting with a deliverable ("we need a new website", "we need a video"), we start from the outcome you want and work back to the basics that make it possible. Every project, large or small, goes through the same five steps.

1. Diagnose

We start with a conversation about your goal, your audience and what you have already tried. By the end you have a short written summary: the problem we think is worth solving, what success would look like, and what we would not do.

2. Research

We look at your market, your competitors and how people search for what you offer, both in Google and in AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. We record what these tools say about your brand today, so later work can be measured against a real starting point.

3. Focus

Research turns into one clear position: who you are for, the three audiences that matter most, and the three messages each of them needs to hear. This is the "Focus" in "Marketing → Focus", and every later deliverable is checked against it.

4. Create

Our group companies produce the work: brand and design, websites and apps, video and animation, PR and events, content and campaigns. Because they work as one team, the website, the video and the social posts tell the same story.

5. Measure

We agree up front what will be measured: enquiries in Google Analytics 4, search performance in Google Search Console, and how often AI assistants mention or recommend your brand. You receive a regular report that says what changed, what we learned and what we will do next.
